Familiar Ink is Roland Scriver, a Graphic Designer and Illustrator from London, U.K.

He originally studied Fine Art as a painter before a change of circumstances lead him to a series of hard manual and factory jobs and a side career as a musician.

After several years of saving as much money as he could, he was admitted to The London College of Print, soon to become LCC, to study Graphic Design with a strong focus on Typography.

After leaving University he worked for ten years in Market Research and data interpretation for Client Customer Care while steadily building a small base of freelance design clients on the side, mostly within the music industry.

In 2014 he became a full time Graphic Designer, working for the Health and Safety Executive ‘HSE Magazine’ as lead editorial designer, whilst Freelancing for a variety of clients.
